Wellbeing is not a programme — it is a culture

You cannot yoga-app your way out of a culture that drains people. Wellbeing lives in the everyday decisions leaders make about pace, priority and permission.

Wellbeing programmes are useful. Wellbeing cultures are transformative. The difference shows up in what leaders model, how meetings are designed, whether people can say no, and whether rest is treated as a productivity strategy or a moral failing.

When wellbeing is a culture, it doesn't need a launch. It shows up in calendars, in how feedback is given, in the way change is announced.

Start with the rituals leaders already control — and let the programmes amplify, not substitute.
