About Helen
Creating the conditions for people, leaders and organisations to flourish through change.
For over thirty years, I've had the privilege of working alongside people navigating change — sometimes deeply personal, sometimes professional. A career transition. A new leadership role. A team finding its way through uncertainty. An organisation reimagining its future.
Every conversation has been different, but one question has quietly guided my work for many years.
How do we create the conditions in which people can truly flourish through change?
Today, my work brings together coaching, leadership development, learning, positive psychology and organisational development through one integrated practice.

The journey
How my thinking evolved.
Early in my career, I believed that change was something we managed.
Over time, I realised something different.
Change is something we live.
Alongside a career spanning education, leadership, coaching and organisational development, I cared for both of my parents through terminal illness and experienced the grief that followed. Those years changed the way I think about people. They taught me that growth rarely comes from having all the answers — it comes from creating the right conditions.
The conditions to pause. To reflect. To reconnect. To learn. To experiment. To belong. To begin again.
Those experiences didn't change my direction. They deepened my purpose.
What I believe
Flourishing isn't something we achieve once and for all. It's something we continue to create throughout our lives.
- I believe people flourish when they are given the space, support and confidence to keep learning.
- I believe leadership is less about having all the answers and more about creating environments where people feel able to think, contribute and grow.
- I believe wellbeing isn't separate from performance — it is what makes sustainable performance possible.
- I believe every meaningful conversation has the potential to create a ripple.
- I believe the future belongs to those who develop the human capabilities needed to learn continuously, adapt thoughtfully and flourish together through change.
One person.
One team.
One organisation.
One community.
How I work
Three principles run through everything I do.
Evidence
My work is informed by research across coaching psychology, positive psychology, learning, leadership, organisational development and wellbeing. The best practice combines evidence with curiosity — continually learning and adapting as new insights emerge.
Experience
For more than three decades I have worked across higher education, charities, public sector organisations, businesses and communities — supporting people through some of the most significant transitions of their lives and careers.
Integration
Rather than seeing coaching, leadership, learning and wellbeing as separate disciplines, I bring them together into one connected approach. Because people don't experience life in separate boxes — and neither should the support we offer them.
The framework
Over time, I kept noticing the same pattern.
People change. Teams change. Organisations change. Communities change.
That insight became my signature framework.
ME → WE → US™
A simple way of understanding how individual growth creates collective impact.

Where you'll usually find me.
Away from work, you'll usually find me walking, swimming in the sea, practising yoga, playing tennis, reading, travelling, or sharing coffee with friends and family.

The question that continues to guide me
How do we create the conditions for people, leaders and organisations to flourish through change?
Every programme I design.
Every coaching conversation I have.
Every leadership workshop I facilitate.
Every article I write.
Every new idea I explore.
Every community I become part of.
They all begin with the same question.
I don't believe there is one answer.
I believe there is a lifetime of learning.
And that is what continues to inspire my work.
